Gough Report: IFPRI Conference "Food Secure Arab World"

Beirut, Lebanon: February 6-7 2012

A report by Anne Gough on IFPRI’s conference Food Secure Arab World. It was held to evaluate the topic of food security in the Arab World, in “light of the Arab Awakening”. According the conference website, the goal was to encourage policy research based on evidence that would support “long-term" prosperity in the Arab world. A select group of participants were invited as audience members to the two-day conference, held February 6 and 7 at the UN – ESCWA (UN Economic and Social Commission for West Asia) building in Beirut.
